I hope life has you happy and smiling. Speaking of happy, Roman Emperor, Philosopher, and one smart guy, Marcus Aurelius, said:
"Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking."
The other day I asked people I ran into what their definition of success is. For the most part, the 'success list' I heard included lots of money, fame, a big house, fancy cars, lots of travel, and an assortment of many other material things.
Keep this in mind when I ask you the next question:
What did funnyman Robin Williams, designer extraordinaire Alexander McQueen, and author Ernest Hemmingway have in common?
Each of these iconic figures had the material trappings I mentioned earlier, and sadly, they all committed suicide.
A recent study by UCLA and the University of Pennsylvania found that the people who chose more time were happier compared to the people who chose more money.
Interesting.
Before you dismiss this study, researchers at the University of British Columbia published a study they completed earlier this year had similar findings.
Still not convinced?
Music sensation Lady Gaga shared that fame and money, like a thief in the night, stole both her identity and happiness. The remedy? Lady Gaga shares that her happiness returned once she took control of her time and activities.

Enough said.
While you achieve your success, here are five things to ensure your fulfillment along the way.
Gratitude – Start your day with gratitude. Think of three to five things that make you grateful.
Do things you love – Find ways to incorporate things you love into your schedule on a regular basis.
Celebrate – Give yourself a pat on the back and celebrate an accomplishment.
Give -- Give generously of your time and money. I'll let you in on a secret. The 'giver' usually receives more!.
Smile – As simple as it sounds, the act of smiling changes your state.
